# Robinhood Wallet Now Routes Stock Token Trades Through Arcus: What Changes for Traders

> Robinhood Wallet can now fill Stock Token swaps via Arcus's RFQ network. Who can use it, what it costs, the points boost, and whether a referral code applies.

On October 1, 2026, Robinhood Wallet started pulling Stock Token liquidity from [Arcus](https://app.arcus.xyz/ref/ARCUSGUIDE). When a wallet user swaps into or out of a tokenized stock, the trade can now be filled by Arcus's network of competing market makers. For eligible users outside the US, UK and Canada, that means one more price source behind the wallet's swap button and a points boost when Arcus fills the trade. It doesn't turn the wallet into an Arcus account, though, and several practical questions are still open. Below is what each company has actually said, and where trading on Arcus directly still differs.

![Arcus blog post dated October 1, 2026, titled Robinhood Wallet Integrates Arcus' API for Stock Token Spot Trading, with an image of the Robinhood feather and Arcus mark on two blocks](/images/ecosystem/robinhood-wallet-arcus/arcus-robinhood-wallet-post.webp)

> **Key takeaway:** **The short version:** Robinhood Wallet can now route Stock Token spot swaps to Arcus, alongside other venues. Arcus charges no fee of its own on those trades and gives wallet swaps it fills a points boost. Perps are not part of it. Nobody has documented whether an Arcus referral code applies on the wallet route, so the 5% fee discount for referred traders is something you get on Arcus itself.

## What was announced, and by whom

Arcus published [Robinhood Wallet Integrates Arcus' API for Stock Token Spot Trading](https://arcus.xyz/blog/robinhood-wallet-integrates-arcus-api) on October 1, calling itself "the newest integration in Robinhood Wallet to support access to Stock Token spot trading." The post carries a quote from Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood's SVP and GM of Crypto and International: "Platforms like Arcus are key to making that vision a reality by integrating their liquidity and execution infrastructure into Robinhood Wallet." Robinhood's own crypto account [posted on X](https://x.com/RobinhoodCrypto/status/2105690815917916411) the same day that wallet traders "can benefit from an additional source of liquidity and may earn boosted Arcus points." I found no separate Robinhood newsroom post about the integration as of October 2.

Press coverage followed within hours. [The Block](https://www.theblock.co/news/business/2026-10-01-robinhood-wallet-integrates-arcus-rfq-system-for-stock-token-swaps-417394) (9:00 a.m. ET) described Arcus as "one of several routing providers Robinhood Wallet can use for stock token spot swaps." [Unchained](https://unchainedcrypto.com/robinhood-wallet-can-now-route-stock-token-trades-through-the-arcus-exchange/) (10:26 a.m. ET) reported that the wallet "can source liquidity from Arcus alongside other routing providers."

Arcus used the post to publish its own traction figures since its July launch: "$5B+ in total trading volume across spot and perpetual markets," "15,000+ unique traders," "$500M+ in peak daily trading volume," "$28M+ in total value locked," and Stock Tokens "now at over 190," up from 90+ at launch. These are Arcus's numbers and have not been independently audited. Its same-day points post gives TVL as "$25M+."

Arcus is built by dYdX Labs, the trade name of dYdX Trading Inc. Robinhood Crypto is a strategic investor in Arcus, and Arcus's Help Center answers "Is Arcus owned by Robinhood?" with "No." For the full background, see [what is Arcus](/ecosystem/what-is-arcus).

## How the routing works

Robinhood Wallet is Robinhood's self-custodial wallet, and on [Robinhood Chain](/ecosystem/what-is-robinhood-chain) it is where Robinhood offers its Stock Tokens. Robinhood's [July 1 newsroom post](https://robinhood.com/us/en/newsroom/robinhood-accelerates-global-expansion-robinhood-chain-mainnet-stock-tokens-agentic-trading/) said spot trading would be accessible in the wallet "via decentralized exchanges like Uniswap, Rialto, Lighter, Arcus, and 1Inch." The October 1 integration is the Arcus piece of that list going live through Arcus's API.

On the Arcus side, the integration plugs into the [Spot Router](https://docs.arcus.xyz/concepts/spot-router). For each trade it checks firm, signed quotes from the Arcus RFQ network of professional market makers (which also covers long-tail names with no deep pool), Uniswap v2, v3 and v4 pools on Robinhood Chain, and what the docs call "select external liquidity venues."

The user signs a slippage-bounded intent, and the router picks the best route when the trade executes, not when the quote was shown. Settlement is atomic and on-chain, and for token-to-token trades the router submits the transaction, so it is gasless. Stock Tokens land in the user's own wallet. Arcus explains why it uses quotes for stocks in its [RFQ design post](https://arcus.xyz/blog/rfq-for-stock-tokens-clob-for-perps-the-design-logic-behind-arcus): "A resting order placed Friday afternoon can be stale by Sunday night."

![Section of Arcus's announcement headed What the Arcus integration means for Robinhood Wallet users, listing deep liquidity through the RFQ system, boosted Arcus Points, and limit orders for Stock Tokens through the wallet's dapp browser](/images/ecosystem/robinhood-wallet-arcus/arcus-wallet-integration-benefits.webp)

The integration has limits. It covers Stock Token spot swaps and nothing else; Robinhood names Lighter as the perps venue inside the wallet, which we compare in [Arcus vs Lighter](/compare/arcus-vs-lighter). Arcus also doesn't get every trade. The wallet decides which provider fills a swap, and neither company has published how it chooses or whether the swap screen tells you who filled it.

Limit orders are a separate case. Arcus says it "will also support" Stock Token limit orders and that wallet users can reach them "through Arcus in the Wallet's dapp browser." I found no spot limit-order entry in Arcus's docs or its app changelog as of October 2, so I'd treat that as announced and not yet shipped.

Settlement can lag, too. Arcus's [settlement post](https://arcus.xyz/blog/settled-and-unsettled-how-spot-settlement-works-on-arcus) says a maker can lock your price before it holds the tokens, so delivery "typically completes within about 3 to 15 minutes" when it isn't instant. How that shows up inside Robinhood Wallet hasn't been published.

| | Swap in Robinhood Wallet | Trade on Arcus directly |
|---|---|---|
| Arcus fee on Stock Tokens | 0% | 0% |
| Who picks the venue | The wallet, across several providers | Arcus's router (RFQ, Uniswap, external venues) |

## Who can use it

Two sets of rules overlap here, and they don't match exactly.

- **Robinhood:** Stock Tokens are in the wallet "in more than 120 countries, although availability varies by jurisdiction," and they are "not available in the US or to US persons" and restricted in "Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, UAE, and sanctioned jurisdictions" ([Robinhood newsroom](https://robinhood.com/us/en/newsroom/robinhood-accelerates-global-expansion-robinhood-chain-mainnet-stock-tokens-agentic-trading/)).
- **Arcus:** the protocol is "not available in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom and other restricted jurisdictions" (footer of the announcement), and its Help Center also lists Switzerland as restricted for spot.

Both companies describe the wallet route as open to "eligible users in supported jurisdictions." Neither has said which list governs a wallet swap that Arcus fills, for example a user in the UAE, where Robinhood restricts Stock Tokens and Arcus's published list does not name the country. If your country appears on either list, assume the route isn't for you. Our guide to [Arcus not being available in your country](/troubleshooting/arcus-not-available-in-my-country) explains how Arcus checks region and what it allows.

> **Warning:** Arcus spot and perpetual futures are not available to people in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom, and this article is not intended for them. Robinhood's Stock Tokens are also not offered to US persons. Arcus is not a regulated financial services provider. Nothing here is investment advice.

## Costs: the wallet route vs trading on Arcus

Arcus charges 0% on Stock Token spot trades whichever way you reach it. What you pay is the market maker's spread built into the quote. Arcus's [off-hours post](https://arcus.xyz/blog/how-arcus-handles-stock-tokens-outside-regular-trading-hours) says spreads widen when the US market is closed, and a thin name may briefly return no quote.

The wallet adds its own layer, and that part is thinly documented:

- Robinhood's [Send, receive, and swap crypto](https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/send-receive-and-swap-crypto/) page lists a Robinhood Wallet swap fee of **0.80% on same-chain swaps** and 0.73% on cross-chain swaps, plus provider fees of 0.05% for 0x and 0.05% to 0.12% for LI.FI. Robinhood Chain is on its list of supported networks.
- That page sits on Robinhood's US support site. It doesn't mention Stock Tokens or Arcus, and Stock Tokens aren't offered in the US, so it doesn't settle what a non-US user pays on a Stock Token swap. I could not find a Robinhood fee schedule specific to Stock Token swaps.
- Arcus's [integration docs](https://docs.arcus.xyz/concepts/spot-integration) say each integration gets its own API key, and "a partner (builder) fee can be configured against it." Whether Robinhood has set one is not public.

Before you confirm a wallet swap, read every fee line and the amount you will receive. Then ask Arcus for a quote on the same token and size at the same moment, and compare what lands in your wallet. Our [Arcus fees explained](/guides/fees/arcus-fees-explained) guide covers the full schedule, including perps.

> **Key takeaway:** Arcus adds no fee on either route, so the gap between them is whatever the wallet charges plus any difference in the quote. The number to compare is what lands in your wallet.

## Does a referral code apply on the wallet route?

The 5% discount comes with an Arcus account, and Arcus hasn't documented any way to carry it into Robinhood Wallet. Here is what the documentation does say:

- Arcus's integration docs say "volume routed through the key is attributed to the partner." On the wallet route, the partner is Robinhood.
- A referral binds to an Arcus account, either by opening a link like app.arcus.xyz/ref/ARCUSGUIDE or under Rewards, then Referrals. Arcus's app shows referred users "Receive 5% off on all trading fees," and its [API changelog](https://docs.arcus.xyz/changelog) for July 22, 2026 records a "5% referral fee discount for referred users."
- Stock Token spot trades carry no Arcus fee in the first place. The discount pays off on Arcus perps, which the wallet route doesn't offer.

So it's unconfirmed, and even if it did apply, there would be little to discount on spot. If you plan to trade on Arcus itself, especially perps, join with code **ARCUSGUIDE** before your first trade. Arcus accepts a code while your rolling 30-day volume is under $1M, and you can't change it afterward. Details are in our [Arcus referral code guide](/guides/getting-started/arcus-referral-code). ArcusGuide earns a share of the fees Arcus collects from traders who join with the code. Using it does not raise what you pay.

## The points boost

Arcus's [points post](https://arcus.xyz/blog/introducing-arcus-points) lists a "Robinhood Wallet Boost (Spot)": "If your Robinhood Wallet swap is executed through Arcus, it will be eligible for boosted Arcus points. The boost applies within spot points." It sits next to two other boosts, one for trading Stock Tokens and other real-world assets and one for trading outside regular US hours. Arcus says all boost categories "are subject to change."

Neither company has said how a wallet user will see which swaps earned the boost. Keep the terms in mind as well: Arcus's Protocol Terms (Annex C) say points carry no entitlement to any token or airdrop, Arcus has no token, and points aren't available to people in the US, Canada or the UK. Our [Arcus points and airdrop guide](/ecosystem/arcus-points-airdrop) covers the rest.

## What it means for Arcus

Distribution is the visible change. Robinhood says its wallet carries Stock Tokens in more than 120 countries, and Arcus now sits behind part of that swap flow without each user signing up on Arcus. In Arcus's words, "we're expanding access to 24/7 Stock Token trading for more eligible users around the world." Kerbrat's quote frames it from Robinhood's side as getting "access to Stock Tokens and economic exposure to US markets."

It is not an exclusive slot. Robinhood named five venues in July, and its X post refers to "more Stock Token spot trading integrations" being added. On perps, Lighter holds the wallet partnership and, per DefiLlama, does roughly three times Arcus's perp volume on Robinhood Chain. Arcus has published no figure for how much volume the wallet sends it, and Robinhood hasn't either. The useful thing to watch is whether Arcus reports wallet-routed volume in a later update.

## How to trade Stock Tokens directly on Arcus

Setting up on Arcus takes a few minutes in an eligible region, and it's the route that carries the referral discount and, later, perps.

Arcus's Help Center lists MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom and WalletConnect as supported wallets. It doesn't name Robinhood Wallet. Arcus does say wallet users can reach its limit orders through the wallet's dapp browser, which suggests the Arcus app opens there. I haven't tested whether a referral link binds from inside that browser, so the safer path is to open the link in a regular browser first. The walkthroughs in [how to trade on Arcus](/guides/getting-started/how-to-trade-on-arcus) and [how to deposit on Arcus](/guides/getting-started/how-to-deposit-on-arcus) cover each screen, and [trading stocks 24/7 on Arcus](/guides/trading/trade-stocks-24-7-on-arcus) explains weekend quotes and off-hours spreads. For perps access, see [Arcus invite codes and the waitlist](/guides/getting-started/arcus-invite-code-and-waitlist).

> **Key takeaway:** The wallet route puts Arcus liquidity behind a swap button a lot of people already use. The referral discount and perps access still come from an Arcus account, so set one up with ARCUSGUIDE if you plan to trade there.

## What is still unconfirmed

As of October 2, 2026, these points have no public answer from Arcus or Robinhood:

- Which jurisdiction list governs a wallet swap that Arcus fills.
- What Robinhood charges on Stock Token swaps outside the US, and whether a builder fee applies on the Arcus route.
- Whether the wallet shows which venue filled a swap, or which swaps earned the points boost.
- Whether a referral code binds to wallet-routed volume.
- When Stock Token limit orders go live.

We will update this page as either company publishes more. Spot trading on Arcus is live now for eligible users.
