SECURITY & SAFETY
Keep Your Arcus Account Yours
Arcus is self-custodial, so nobody can reset your password or reverse a bad signature. These guides cover wallet hygiene and the fake sites and tokens that copy the Arcus name.
What self-custody means here
Your Stock Tokens sit in your own wallet, and perps collateral sits in a contract on Robinhood Chain with an emergency withdrawal path. That protects you from an exchange holding your funds. It also means a leaked seed phrase or a malicious signature can empty the wallet with nobody to call. Arcus's matching engine is run by Arcus, and its validator set is permissioned; the architecture docs set out what happens if either goes offline. The rootchain contracts were reviewed by Trail of Bits and OpenZeppelin.
The scams already out there
Dozens of Arcus-themed phishing domains have appeared since the June 2026 launch, offering fake waitlist spots, fake token claims, fake points and fake bridges. Unofficial "ARCUS" tokens trade on Robinhood Chain, and Arcus has no token. Arcus says invite codes cannot be sold or transferred, so anyone selling one is selling nothing. The scams, fake sites and fake tokens guide lists the patterns and the official domains to check against.
Nobody from Arcus or this site will DM you first with support, a recovery offer or an airdrop. Never share a seed phrase, and never sign a transaction a stranger sends you.
