What Arcus charges

Arcus uses a maker-taker model on perpetuals. A taker order fills against the book and pays the taker rate; a maker order rests on the book and pays the maker rate, or earns a rebate at the top two tiers. On July 20, 2026 Arcus halved taker fees for the beta, and on August 4 it set maker fees to zero for tiers Base through Platinum. That puts a $10,000 taker trade at $2.25 and a maker fill at nothing.

Stock Tokens are different. They trade spot through quotes from market makers, and Arcus takes no fee on them. Your cost is the spread inside the quote, which widens when US exchanges are closed. Arcus also charges no fee of its own to deposit or withdraw, and no gas to place or cancel perp orders.

Perpetual fee tiers

Your tier is set by rolling 30-day perps volume across all markets and changes automatically. Arcus widened the window from 14 to 30 days on July 22, 2026. Volume from sub-accounts under one master wallet counts together.

How Arcus fees compare

At beta rates, Arcus has the lowest base taker fee among order-book perp venues that charge one. Venues that charge nothing at the base level are cheaper still, and Lighter, the largest perps venue on Robinhood Chain, is one of them. Fees are also only part of the cost: on thinner books, slippage on a large order can outweigh the fee difference. The Hyperliquid, Lighter and dYdX Chain comparisons go further.

Costs that are not trading fees

  • Funding. Paid between longs and shorts every hour, not to Arcus. The base rate is 0.01% per eight hours on crypto and SOFR plus 0.5% a year on equity, index and commodity perps. The funding rates tool shows the live rate per market.
  • Deposits. Arcus charges nothing, but the on-ramp may. Per the help center, cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay cost about 2.1% and SEPA about 0.5%, with a minimum of around $3.
  • Network fees on spot. Arcus pages disagree. The blog and docs say most swaps are gasless; the help center says to keep a small amount of ETH on Robinhood Chain. Keeping a little ETH covers both cases.
  • pTokens. Some of the older pToken vaults charge a 0.25% deposit fee; newer ones charge none. The pTokens guide lists which.

The referral discount

Join with a referral code and Arcus applies its referral discount, which the app shows as 5% off all trading fees. The code has to go on early, before your 30-day volume passes Arcus's cutoff, and it cannot be swapped later. A referral code does not unlock perps; that takes an invite code or a waitlist slot. This site earns a share of the fees paid by readers who use code ARCUSGUIDE; the referral page explains how.

Frequently Asked Questions

During the beta, Arcus perpetuals cost 0.0225% taker and 0% maker at the base tier, falling to 0.0095% taker and a 0.003% maker rebate at the top tier. Your tier is set by rolling 30-day perpetuals volume across all markets and moves automatically. There are seven tiers, from Base at $0 to Max at $3 billion. Volume from sub-accounts under one master wallet counts together.

Arcus has not announced a date. It says traders will hear about the end of the beta in advance through its X account and website. When it ends, base-tier rates return to 0.045% taker and 0.015% maker.

Arcus shows referred users a discount of 5% off trading fees, and its API changelog from July 22, 2026 describes a 5% referral fee discount for referred users. The code has to be added early, before your 30-day volume passes the cutoff, and cannot be changed later. ArcusGuide earns a share of fees from users who join with its code.

Arcus charges no trading fee on Stock Tokens. The cost is the market maker spread built into each quote, which is usually wider outside US market hours. Arcus pages disagree on network fees: the blog and docs say most swaps are gasless, while the help center says to keep a little ETH on Robinhood Chain.

Arcus charges no deposit or withdrawal fee of its own. Third parties can: card and Apple Pay deposits through Fun cost about 2.1% and SEPA about 0.5%, according to the Arcus help center, and bridging costs are shown before you confirm.
